Thank you for sharing ❤️

Wow beautiful! ✨

Wow Shashi thank you!! 🙏🏽💖🥰

Here is the 2022 Level 2 batch spread sheet of what has been accomplished and what is still to be accomplished (or shared in the right place).
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10VMXRSU8Jb9-Ztefc_t88JvGl2FiXzyMjnL7Llp6wJs/edit?usp=sharing
In the past, there were few enough students that I was able to mentally keep track of progress. This method is a new development to ensure full completion of level 2. You can see that there was less structure for the previous years, and you can see that in the coming years there will be even more competency structure. This is not a test like the practicum, it is more to show you followed along in the chapter and are working on the concepts. The information in each of these chapters will take years to fully master.

Freedom Cole Guruji, I'll try to complete and submit as soon as possible.

Guru ji, my document had chapter 8,9, and 11 also covered - one below the other. Since it is not marked - does it mean i have got it wrong, or there is a chance they got missed? Will add other assignments today.

I stepped away a few month in. I intend to redo level 2 from beginning 🙏

I assume not available means we don't have to do it right? Obvious question maybe but someone has to ask 😅

Thank you for pointing out the missing homework Guruji. I have uploaded it 🙂

Freedom Guruji I have uploaded Ch 2 and Ch 9 homework and have changed those folders to yellow color so you know what is newly added. Thank you so much for the clarity and insight, and for being the light, carrying the light, and for all that you do for students, clients, and this paramapara. Freedom Cole 🙏🌸

I have everything done on paper in various places, I just need an uninterrupted 45 minutes to key it all into the doc. Will do my best to get to it this weekend.

Freedeom Ji- I have uploaded my two missing homework files 1. Ghatika and Vighatika calculations 2. Moola dasa calculations Thank you

Uploaded the last missing assignment - Naisargika Dasa calculation

All outstanding homework has been completed and uploaded, email sent to Emmeline. Happy Holidays Freedomji.

Freedom ji, I have also updated all assignments on the drive

Thank you Freedom Cole for the extra time to hand in our HMWK. I was finally able to submit everything today. Looking forward to following along with this years SOL 2. So much to still absorb. 🙏

I'll upload the rest tomorrow. End of the year is always something 🙄

Hi Freedom, just got all of my work uploaded. Thanks!

I have uploaded my missing assignments! 😊 Thank you for giving us more time! 🙏

Uploaded my remaining assignments too 🙂

I've filled in the rest a long while ago. Should I contact Emmeline to make sure it is seen?

Freedom Cole Ji, thank you so much for this information. How do I know for myself on what to accomplish. Is there any separate sheet for my batch? I am planning to complete all outstanding work now. Thanks for all help/knowledge given.

graduates who have completed Level 2 are always welcome to sit in class again for any topic they want to do deeper work on. [First three classes will be similar to PJC1 opening classes, though slightly deeper.] Those who have not completed....either hurry up and complete your HW or if you need to repeat, please pay the continuing education fee to support the admin and TA fees.

Can anyone point me to where the information on continuing education fees is/how to pay? I did all the homework, but kept poor track of my notes. In reviewing the lost sections, I realized I wouldn’t mind redoing the whole course to let it sink in deeper. If that’s harder from a teacher’s/ TA’s perspective, I can still hustle to turn it all in. *And apologies for missing the first class where this may have been covered. I had a memorial last night

This time period is also known as *Abhijit Muhūrta* and is a 1/15th portion of the actual day length so it will also change in duration through the year as the day grows longer or shorter according to the seasons. For those who have been asking, the kindle version of Science of Light vol2 is now available! www.amazon.com/Science-Light-Vol-2-Freedom-Tobias/dp/098501220X/

The kindle version has some minor changes from the Print. Corrections of some grammar in English and Sanskrit transliteration marks. A few new images. A few chart corrections (we had Obama's navamsha instead of his rashi). And a few minor paragraphs added in a few places. There is no need to get it if you have the older edition, but just to note the few minor variations.

This is such good news 🙏🏼

Fantastic news! I have a suggestion: the Kindle version of SOL1 works on all Kindle apps but not with the devices. It would help if there was a device compatible version too.

Wonderful! I had to leave mine in Belize and was going to ask if there’s an online version and then this popped up in my feed. I already purchased it. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Hooray!

As I do my Mantra practice, one pattern has started developing around me. I have been getting exposure to material about Tantra practices.
Posting this to the Sangha to check if someone here has prior knowledge of this system and if there are some recommendations in terms of lectures/reading material.

We did refer to some material in our SOL2 classes (and I did get Abhinavgupt's books), so in my limited knowledge Jyotish and Tantra aren't incompatible. Any views on this?

TIA

In our tradition, it’s almost required to have some knowledge of classical tantra to do jyotish remedies.

Theory is good but practice is best, hence the Ganesh sadhana integration with Arjun. That is the foundation of classical tantra practice.

Folks, Wanted to get your thoughts on 2 doubts:

a) If we see Kula devata's anger in some chart, and we recommend them to worship Kula devata - but they don;t know of their Kula devata - then is there an alternative?

Backstory: A 60 year old couple reached out to me some days back saying their both sons (35ish in age) had a fight, and are neither seeing eye to eye with each other, and nor with their mother. The mother who asked the question did not have a natal chart - so I did a Prashna and could see Badhaka, Pitr dosh, and 4th house links. Interestingly when I gave them remedy of doing monthly tarpana on amavasya, and kula devta's pooja - it came out that they do not do shraadha ceremony in pitru paksh. They are otherwise a very religious family.

b) In Sarpa badhaka section - there is a mention of Dasstodharana pancami puja after bathing with ghee (referred to be in Garuda purana 1.129.27). But when I check Garuda purana - I don't find mention of this puja, or even the verse number. Has anyone looked this up earlier? I was checking this translation of Garuda purana [www.sacred-texts.com/hin/gpu/index.htm](www.sacred-texts.com/hin/gpu/index.htm)

Wondering if there is a resource somewhere that speaks of the type of Mala to be used for remedial mantras?

Is there an all purpose Mala?

I am recommending Jyotir Linga mantra to exalt Saturn - I'm guessing a black stone?

You can use the same mala as as their Iśta Devata. Jyotir-Lingas are Śiva lingas, these mantras are the 12 forms of solar energies (read pg 116 from SOl 1). So we don’t choose the mala based on the planet we’re exalting. We use Śiva which is a rudraksha mala or as I stated above their Iśta devata

this is from Vedic Remedies in Astrology by Pt. Sanjay Rath. i’ve heard Freedom suggest a Tulsi mala as well in general for japa as it’s connected to Jupiter.

I have uploaded the assignments and completed any that I found in Annette Shellenbarger Ji's folder that I had not already done.
My most sincere thanks to Freedom Cole Ji for accomodating me in the SOL 2 batch. The joy of being accepted was almost the same as when I was accepted into college. The last 2 years have completely changed my perspective on how I deal with life - especially the difficulties that come my way.

My fellow students are most welcome to see what in my chart led to this amazing ride where first GuruJi Hemant Kathuria Ji went out of his way to light this jyoti of knowledge and how GuruJi Freedom Cole accepted me (and my fellow students Gaurav Prakash and Prateek Singhal) into the SOL2 batch. It was Prarabdhā, and there is no better example for me to understand it than these events. Wether I can learn something is secondary to a Guru deciding to impart that knowlede in the first place.

For the extra-curious, another co-incidence for the 3 of us (me, Gaurav and Pratik) is that around the same time we joined SOL2, we were also able to raise Venture funds for our respective startups, making this time extra special. Maybe it's blessings of exalted Gurus.

Congratulations Abhimanyu! Completing SOL2 is no small feat. Many astrologers with 5-10 years of experience don't know things that you now know. Please reserve the special 'Guru' tag for stalwarts like Freedom Ji. I'm just a coach and my ability limits to making beginners take the learning leap in ways they themselves can't do. Grown ups in a discipline deserve more skilled masters, and you are at the right place with Freedom Ji and crew. Here's three cheers for crossing the river front and joining us on this shore.

Abhimanyu, your folder was the most complete (along with Ekaterina). We are just missing your hora birth time translated into ghatika and vighatika (in both folders).

Wanted to share an observation to get sangha's thoughts. In last 4 days - my mother, my mother in law, my wife, and my sister in law all travelled individually with their respective friends - with all the spouses back home. While we were joking about it - it just felt too much of coincidence to me. I thought of checking the stars - and I saw that Ve has moved into Anuradha (Nakshatra with Mitra / Friend energy) last couple of days. In fact, I also ended up meeting 3-4 different friend groups for long pending meets in last 1 week.

Doesn't look like a coincidence. Maybe the impacts are selective for e.g. it might be more pronounced for folks with natal Venus in Anuradha. Or maybe even for folks with natal Venus in jala rasi - making tattva level connection with Anuradha's corresponding scorpio rasi. Though given rasis impact is different than nakshatras this seems a far fetched logic to me - and the impact should probably be more generic. Maybe the impact is magnified because of Mercury (karaka of friends) conjunction with Venus. Would be curious to know if any of you notice similar change in last 1 week to build this further.

While doing samskaras for Hare rama krishna mantra - I have become curious about its origin. We call this as janaka shadakshari mantra. King janaka was born in Treta yuga, much before shri krishna. Usage of Krishna in his mantra seems to suggest that Krishna (as a higher being or an avatar) exists from way earlier. ... See MoreSee Less

Alternatively - Rishis are not bound by space or time. There is a very nice lecture covering this by Shri Ramdass. One of the examples is when Neem Karoli Baba (a Sadhu, not even a Rishi), meeting Ramdass for the first time, speaks to him about his thoughts from the previous evening where he was remembering his deceased mother. He then further talks about the fact that she was in pain before she passed away. There are many such instances. You will also notice that Kalki avatār has been spoken of about many times, even though we are not at the end of the Kalyuga. The other explanation: We are in a cycle of yugas, and as things form and deteriorate, various Vishnu avataaras are born. And this might corroborate with the fact that existance of the avatāras (with their planetary mapping) can be spoken about in advance. I believe both theories are correct. Neem Karoli baba was perhaps using the 5th Siddhi of hanuman ji called praapti, which teleports the user to any point in space-time. Though the lecture talks about developing an awareness/oneness with the universe that spans space-time.

Prateek Singhal, I think you'll find some good insight in the lecture series transcribed here (audio also available on this page), particularly the section on Paraśurāma: vedavyasacenter.org/teachers/freedom-cole/opening-lecture/

Couldn't agree more. It's still tough to believe that one run of the course is over. I am grateful to Freedom Cole ji for providing this life time opportunity to learn the highest of knowledges, from a lens of a living tradition. I have never found a teacher as humble, and structured as Freedom ji - and I feel blessed to have experienced this. The way the course has been designed, and more importantly how the concepts we study actually become alive in our lives and allow us to learn in a much better way has been eye opening (I hardly understand how that happens, but the fact it does happen is amazing). On a ligher note, Freedom ji's focus on 'partic'ularly always kept me awake as it sort of rhymed with my name - so much that I used to end up unmuting myself to speak just to realise it was another of those moments 🙂 Also thankful to the whole class - without those insightful discussions learning would not have been possible. Completely agree with Annette that even after sitting miles apart, and having never met anyone - there is still a strong sense of connection with all of you. I look forward to keep in touch !! Most importantly, may thanks to our first teacher Hemant Kathuria for helping me start this journey, and for molding us to be ready to hold such powerful knowledge. One of my music teachers has a saying that "You need purity of a Gold vessel to hold the sanctity of Lioness's milk". You helped us become a bit of that gold Hemant. Will always be indebted to everyone on this thread. Hope to make it to the Grad group.

They sent a camera up on of the biggest ones and discovered a MASSIVE bee hive that appears to be a good 10 years old!
